Could we see Rio Carnival at EPCOT in he world Showcase? Rumors are that Brazil could be the newest country in the World Showcase. We will hopefully hear more after the D23 expo later this month. It sounds like there is a chance of seeing Rio de Janeiro depicted as part of Brazil.
What it means for EPCOT
If it is true, it will not only mean a new area with a new Brazil focused attraction, but smaller updates from the passports to IllumiNations. I want to see Carnival represented. I am not an expert on Brazil so I welcome the opportunity to learn more about the country but I imagine that Carnival would be an exciting addition to the park. Id like to see Rio Carnival at EPCOT. The thought is it would sit between Germany and Italy which could mean the loss of the German toy train. Change is often met with uncertainty and EPCOT is in need of some long overdue updating. Frozen Ever After was the first of recent changes and Brazil could be the next. I wonder if there will be more than just one new country in coming months/years.
